Pop hunk Robbie Williams has recruited a new minder - a 14-week-old Rottweiler called Missy. The 27-year-old singer - currently at No 1 in the singles charts - showed off his new pet yesterday. The breed is fast becoming the pooch for the stars - Posh Spice Victoria Beckham and her husband David already have two.

Pop hunk Robbie Williams has persuaded screen queen Nicole Kidman to sing a duet with him on his new album of cover versions. Robbie's representatives managed to convince Nicole to record with the singer on a recent trip to London. But the stunning "Moulin Rouge" star is no stranger to the recording studio. Her duet called "Come What May" with co-star Ewan McGregor on the Moulin Rouge soundtrack, has already hit the top ten in Australia.
Ewan may also join Robbie in the studio, and the pop star is trying to tempt old flame Anna Friel to make an appearance.

The Beastie Boys want Robbie Williams to join them at their annual Tibetan Freedom Concert in London. Pulp and Joe Strummer are already confirmed for the line-up of the event
at Brockwell Park on September 15. But a spokesman for Robbie said the singer has not yet confirmed his
appearance. Ticket holders for the event will also gain access to an all-night dance party at Brixton Academy, with a special guest DJ line-up yet to be announced, NME.COM reports.
Beastie Boy Adam Yauch said Robbie would be a valuable asset to the Tibetan Freedom cause. He said: "It's great when we can find an artist with a fanbase who might
not know so much about the situation in Tibet, or who doesn't overlap with some of the other performers. That way, new people find out what's going on."

Usher says Robbie Williams will never make it big in the US because he is too lazy. The R 'n' B singer has been dominating the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. He says Robbie is not putting enough time into cracking the American market. "Robbie tours a lot elsewhere but not in America," Usher told The Sun. "US fans like to get up close and personal. They want to feel loved by their idols. That takes time, so you have to work at it."

Robbie has denied recent speculation that he is to work with either Ronan Keating or Craig David in the future. Speaking ahead of sell-out weekend shows at Dublin's 45,000 plus capacity Lansdowne Road, Williams says he admires them both but will remain mute about who he plans to work with in the future or who he likes in case his words get misconstrued.
"I saw Ronan a few months ago and he thought I'd been slagging him off," he told BBC Radio 1. "I daren't mention anybody's name in anything that I do or say because I get scared of it being misconstrued." Following his Dublin appearances (July 6 & 7), Williams' sold-out UK tour dates are as follows:
Millennium Stadium, Cardiff (July 14/15), Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield (18), Milton Keynes Bowl (20/21/22), Old Trafford, Manchester (27/28/29), International Stadium, Gateshead (August 1), Hampden Park, Glasgow (4/5)

Robbie Williams is reported to be considering a film role in the romantic comedy Goldfish Memory. Other actors said to be considering taking part include Jonathan Rhys
Meyers, Darren Day, Dervla Kirwan and Ian Hart. Pearl Harbor star Josh Hartnett is also believed to be interested in joining the cast of the £5 million adventure set in Ireland. A friend of Robbie Williams said: "Robbie has been on the look-out for a part he could get his teeth into, playing it for laughs and being serious. He is deadly keen to get involved."

Robbie Williams says there is no truth in reports he is being considered as the next James Bond. He says he's never wanted to play the 007 star and isn't really interested in
acting. It was reported the singer's gig at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff was watched by one of the producers of the James Bond movies.
"To put paid to all the James Bond stuff, I've never wanted to play James Bond," he told Radio 1. "The people who run James Bond, who are lovely people, said they didn't want me to play him. I've never asked or wanted to play James Bond. I did the Millennium video as a pastiche of James Bond and I left it there."
Robbie added he wasn't ruling out the possibility of a duet with one-time rival Ronan Keating or Craig David.
"I admire Ronan Keating and I really admire Craig David, that's the absolute truth," he said.

Kylie Minogue says she has the hots for Robbie Williams. She says the singer is gorgeous, attractive and totally interesting. But despite admitting she is probably Robbie's ideal woman, Kylie says the pair have missed the chance to become a couple. Kylie told the Daily Record: "Robbie has always said that I am his ideal woman and I have always felt that he is gorgeous, attractive and totally
interesting.
"I always felt it might have happened, that we might have been a couple, but I think the time has passed now. It just never happened which, I feel, is a shame, but what can I do? We have been friends for so long we can't really go back. You can never go backwards in life. Now we are just the best of friends."

Robbie Williams says he is in hiding from the paparazzi.
The singer has hit out at the press, calling them nasty and vindictive. He says he gets really angry when reporters follow his every move. "I think the UK press are Satan's lovechild, I really do," he told Radio 1. "They're horrible nasty vindictive sick f*****s."
Robbie says reporters would regularly camp outside his house. "Where I was living four or five camped outside and at its worst for a few weeks there would be three cars following me wherever I went. So I left that home and I'm in hiding at this other house but I'm sure they must know where I am. They haven't come looking for me for two months and it's been bliss."

Robbie Williams has revealed that the secret to his continued abstinence from drink and drugs is regular prayer, to Elvis. Robbie has been off the booze and drugs for a record seven months since his battles with dependency first emerged. "I feel good," he told Radio 1. "It's quite hardcore knowing when you come off stage you won't get drunk."
The secret to his success is unorthodox, to say the least: "Before the gig we get in a huddle and pray to Elvis to look after us." Williams recently revealed that he's planning to take a year off from being 'Robbie' due to suffering from stage fright and lack of confidence. He continued to toy with the radio station over rumours about his sexuality, saying only: "I'll come out when I'm ready."

Robbie Williams has claimed he is going to kill himself off so he can come back as a new man. Talking to Radio 1 at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark the former Take That member says he's had enough of his current image and is sure the rest of the world is sick of it too.
"I'm really bored with Robbie", claimed Williams. "So after November I'm gonna kill him off. I'm everywhere. It must be really boring for people. I know that I know nothing, that I'm really baffled and confused on a daily basis. And that's all right for the time being but I need to stop doing this for a little while."
Robbie said he's going to take a year off after his summer tour because he's suffering from stage fright and lack of confidence: "I need to take time off to find out who the hell I am, because I don't know anymore. I'm going to take a year off. I've got to get away. I need to take some time off to get my confidence back".

Robbie Williams unveiled his new single, his new haircut and his nu-metal direction at Roskilde Festival on Saturday (June 30). Sporting a blonde-spiked cockatoo crop, the former Take That star played a cover version of Limp Bizkit's 'Rollin' alongside U2's 'Beautiful Day' and Queen's 'We Are The Champions'. On introducing his new single, a mid-paced power ballad in 'Angels' vein entitled 'Eternity', Robbie announced apologetically "I had to release a ballad at some point. Please don't go to the toilet while I sing it." He also rubbed fresh salt into his Take That scars, dedicating 'No Regrets' to "Mark Owen, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and the other one."
Before his traditional punk demolition of Barlow's 'Back For Good', Robbie also said of his former colleague "I don't know what he's doing at the moment but I'm a big admirer of his work. If you see him, can you e-mail him because I'd love to get in contact." As the song progressed, Robbie told the crowd "come on,
sing the backing vocal, that's all I f***ing did!"

Reports that Madonna, George Michael and Robbie WIlliams are to appear at a huge LIVE AID-style fundraising gig in Cardiff Millennium Stadium have been thrown into confusion by venue officials. Organisers of the "AIDS Aid" event
insist the gig will press ahead, and that a full announcement is due in July - but officials at the stadium are adamant that it is not in their diary. As reported earlier this week, the Red Hot Aids Charitable Trust is planning a huge gig at the Welsh stadium on October 20. Midge Ure, who masterminded 1985's Live Aid gig alongside Bob Geldof, is said to be organising the event.
It would be themed on 'Great British Musicals', with artists singing songs from musicals backed by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. Madonna would be expected to sing songs from 'Evita', and Midge added: "I hope to get Robbie
Williams doing something from 'Les Miserables'." Other bands tipped to appear are Bee Gees, Deborah Harry, S Club 7 and Barry Manilow. But stadium chiefs said yesterday that no booking has been confirmed for that date, and the Welsh Rugby Union, who manage the 62,000-seater venue, would not allow a gig to take place. WRU press officer Lyn Davies said: "It's just speculation. Wales play Ireland on October 13 and then Tonga on November 17. The pitch could not be taken up for a concert and then relaid between those dates."
But Julian Stockton of promoters The Outside Organisation said today: "The stadium authorities have confirmed we can use the venue on October 20. We have been in talks with the BBC about showing the event live on prime-time television, and we hope it will be a fantastic event." Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis's planned Farm Aid charity gig a week later, on October 27, has also not been confirmed by the stadium. The only shows inked
into the diary for this year are two gigs by Robbie on July 14 and 15, and the rescheduled Day At The Races show by The Stereophonics on July 21. As
previously reported on NME.COM, the Chepstow gig had to be moved 30 miles to
Cardiff because of the foot and mouth crisis.

Madonna and Robbie Williams are said to be performing at a huge music event that is being described as Live Aid 2. Titled 2001: A Musical Odyssey, the event is to take place at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on Saturday October 20. It will take the theme of the 'Great British Musical' and will see acts performing stage and screen hits with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra to raise money for children with Aids.
The event is being organised by Live Aid co-founder Midge Ure, who was brought in by the Red Hot Aids Charitable Trust. Ure, formerly of Ultravox, helped Sir Bob Geldof put together the original event back in 1985. He told British tabloid The Sun: "I Hope to get Robbie Williams doing something from Les Miserables."

Robbie Williams boasts that group sex is one of his favourite things in a raunchy new X-rated film. He says he loves "shagging two birds at the same time" in the excellent Rob By Nature - the promo for his upcoming double A-side single Eternity and Road To Mandalay. The Italian Job-style spoof features Robbie and a gang of real-life pals doing a robbery. At one point he says: "The only thing I love more than shagging two birds at the same time is life itself."
Before the raid he jokes: "We're about to do more for our economy in the next 24 hours than Gordon Brown will do in his lifetime - Rob by name, Rob by nature." After the heist the singer enjoys the highlife, snogging a beauty played by model Lisa Seifert. But things go wrong and the film ends with Robbie saying: "In this world there are the haves and the have-nots. Those who've got it ain't gonna give you any of it. It's theirs - so if you want some, you're going to have to go and get some of it yourself."
Rob By Nature is on Channel 4 at 11.35 tonight. The single is out on July 9.

Robbie Williams' dad is having a sizzling fling with a sexy showgirl young enough to be his granddaughter, the Sunday People can reveal. Crooner Pete Conway, 57, who runs a hotel cabaret show, has been "entertaining" dancer Claire Blower, 23, for three months. She is just FOUR years younger than his superstar son! And a source at the hotel told the Sunday People: "They can't hide their lust for each other.
"There must be fireworks in the bedroom. She's very pretty and fit and totally besotted with him. Pete is dead proud he's pulled a bird younger than his superstar son. What man wouldn't be." The news will shock Robbie, 27. Conway - whose real name is Pete Williams - split with the star's mum Jan when Robbie was just three.

A topless beauty admires Robbie Williams on the beach - and treats him to a couple of her own greatest hits. The dark-haired sunbather, clad only in a white sarong, made no effort to cover her assets as she ogled the pop hunk in St Tropez. But tattooed Robbie - enjoying a French Riviera holiday with pals - was unfazed by the stunning display.
He simply grinned as he sauntered past the starstruck girl and acknowledged her gaze with a cheery wave. The 27-year-old singer, whose chart smashes include Angels and Let Me Entertain You, will be in St Tropez for much of this month before a series of gigs in Britain and Europe.
He has paid £30,000 to rent a villa for himself and his pals in the resort, where last year he spent two months with chums including Geri Halliwell. Robbie and his mates have made the most of the sunshine by lazing on the beach and riding scooters. They also plan to squeeze in some golf. One onlooker said: "Robbie and the lads did not seem to miss Geri - they were more interested in looking at all the topless girls on the beach. They've been having a real bachelor boys' vacation, playing games on the beach and racing mopeds. Robbie's pretty famous in France and he and his pals had fun in attracting a lot of attention - especially from the girls."
Mega-rich Robbie, whose holiday chums include singer Jonathan Wilkes, looked like a typical English tourist as he strolled around in a floppy sun hat, vest top, shorts and trainers. Last year he and Geri, 28, had a whale of a time in the South of France, where Robbie even got caught up in a bar brawl. But this year the former Spice Girl is holidaying alone at a secluded villa in the southern corner of Italy. A pal of Robbie said: "He hasn't fallen out with Geri, but this year he just fancied a real boys' holiday without any girls."
Joker Robbie is no stranger to big boobs on the beach - having paraded a massive fake pair for an anti-cancer campaign two years ago. The ex-Take That star donned plastic breasts by the sea to encourage men to look less at women's bodies and concentrate more on their own to spot testicular cancer. Meanwhile it was announced yesterday that the chart king - voted Best British Male AGAIN at the Brit Awards this year - plans a Frank Sinatra-style album of big band cover versions.
A spokesman said: "He's already done Have You Met Miss Jones? for the Bridget Jones movie soundtrack, so it's an extension of that. We're unsure which songs he'll do. They're putting it together now." Robbie's big band album is due out in 2003. His next single Eternity is released next month.

Robbie Williams had to flee Germany early after news leaked out about which airport he was planning to fly from. The singer was due to stay overnight after performing his new single Eternity on Germany's version of Top of the Pops. But Robbie had to cut short the visit and fly home from a different airport amid fears the airport and his hotel would be besieged by fans.
Robbie's management feared the singer could be put at risk if a large crowd of fans gathered at Cologne airport, from where he was originally scheduled to fly back to Britain. German youth magazine Bravo reports that the superstar had to leave early instead of staying in Germany overnight as planned.

British pop superstar Robbie Williams is planning an album of big-band cover songs in the style of Frank Sinatra. Williams, who released Sing When You're Winning last October, will be taking a break from contemporary fare in order to deliver the vintage set, which is promised for late 2001 or early 2002.
The singer first covered Ol' Blue Eyes earlier this year when he recorded a version of "Have You Met Miss Jones?" for the soundtrack to Bridget Jones's Diary, and more Sinatra tunes are planned for the covers album set. Although a proper follow-up to Sing When You're Winning isn't expected until 2003, Williams will release a new, original single "Eternity" next month to coincide with his U.K. summer tour.

Robbie Williams' next single will be a brand new track released on July 9th, dotmusic can reveal. The reigning king of UK pop will be releasing a double A-side featuring the new track 'Eternity' backed with another new song 'Toxic' and the live favourite and 'Sing When You're Winning' album track 'Road To Mandalay'. According to his record company, 'Eternity' is a stripped down ballad and is another product of the hugely successful Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers writing partnership.
Robbie is also set to star in a 20-minute film, directed by Vaughan Arnell (the man behind the controversial 'Rock DJ' video), which will include both 'Eternity' and 'The Road To Mandalay' and looks likely to be aired on UK TV later this month. When asked about the film, the director simply said: "It's a film of two halves - Love Story meets The Sweeney head on."
